Mixed-use development is a term often used in the development of suburbs, the same discussion, but that’s not a new idea. To understand exactly what the term means, it is important to understand, given that never before zoning, each region was what we now call “mixed use.”

If zoning laws become the norm, mixed-use developments fell into the water until the 1960 and 1970, when used as part of efforts to revitalize urban areas re-emerged.
